Being a student is a truly unique experience, as you expand your horizons and immerse yourself in knowledge. We know you have a lot on your mind, and cash may be tight, so we are once again offering the 3-Month Student Pass at €55 this scholastic year.
This year, we have made it even easier for you to buy the 3-Month Student Pass, since it is now available on the tallinja app, which can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play store.
You can also put your mind at ease and set up an auto top-up function with the 3-Month Student Pass, so that you will never run out of credit on your tallinja card.
Here’s all you need to know about the 3-month travel pass:
1. The offer is valid for Tallinja Student Card holders only.
2. The offer is valid for 3 months from the day of purchase.
3. The Student offer can be purchased from Malta Public Transport sales offices, on www.publictransport.com.mt, or on the tallinja app. The forms of payment accepted online are Visa, Mastercard, Cashlink and APS cards.
4. If you require a replacement card for any reason, the credit on the card will be transferred to your new card, together with the remaining days left from the existing Pass on your card.
5. The special Student offer grants a 3 month travel pass on your tallinja card. The only instances where your top-up credit is deducted is for use of:
a. Services defined as ‘Night Services’
b. Special Services
c. Tallinja Direct
c. Other services that are not covered under the €21 capping definition for Student cards
6. Malta Public Transport will not advise you when the pass expires.
7. Any pro rata days or credit on a card may not be transferred to another customer.
8. To redeem this offer, you must be in possession of (and elgible for) a Tallinja Student Card.
9. If a Pass is already being used, a new one may not be purchased until it expires.
10. When using the bus, you must always pass your Tallinja Card over the reader to validate your trip. Failure to do so could result in a penalty of €50 and/or confiscation of the card.
